My name is Bunjoy B. Dacanay and i'm a barista (latte Artist) / Barista trainer at PPSST, Puerto Princesa Palawan. I have 5 years experience in the coffee industry in which I have found my passion and great pleasure. The longer I work with coffee the stronger my passion grows. I already worked on different kinds of coffee shops in manila some of this are hotel and some are, 2nd wave coffee shops and also the highest kind of coffee shop which is the 3rd wave where we introduced and involve our customers in our coffee, and competed several times of latte art throw-down competitions in manila.
I believe that on top of competitively great tasting coffee, a Latte Art specialty drink is a unique example of FOOD ART where the barista’s can handcraft pieces of drinkable art right into every cup to enhance the visit of your customer’s as well. It is also an expression through espresso. Latte art is a steamy trend, frothing up in the nation’s hottest coffee houses.
“If you have a painting you’ve done, the latte art is actually the person’s signature of art or craftsmanship,”like David Schomer said, latte art is a preparation of coffee as a culinary art.
My latte art has been mainly self taught. My first contact with specialty Coffee was at a local cafe. I saw a barista in a cafe making a rosetta and a heart on top in the cup, and this blow my mind and i was infected with the coffee virus.
I looking forward to see what 2016 brings!
